Port Lympne // Kent
From their very first email, I knew that Miranda and Mario were going to have an epic wedding. Miranda told me how she wanted a rich palette and sunset hues, using candles and fruit to create a whimsical mix of the fairytales and folklore of Kent with hints of Ancient Rome. I was instantly sold and had been looking forward to this day for months.
Getting Ready
Their vision came to life in the most delightful way, and I was especially in awe of Miranda’s fresh flower crown. Filled with berries and beautiful blooms, it looked incredible on her as she got ready for the day ahead.
Port Lympne: A Venue Quite Unlike Anywhere Else
The wedding took place at Port Lympne, a venue quite unlike anywhere else. Set within 600 acres of Kent countryside, it is home to a wildlife reserve, a historic mansion, a Moroccan courtyard and beautiful gardens. It was the perfect place for a couple who met through their shared love of musical theatre, and joined by many of their theatre friends, there was singing, an abundance of laughter and some wonderful storytelling throughout the day.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was led by their close friend Jon, who treated us to some humorous and endearing tales of Miranda and Mario’s relationship. We followed this with a flurry of confetti and drinks in the garden outside the venue’s pergola.
Wedding Breakfast in the Orangery
After a delicious wedding breakfast, filled with laughter, speeches and plenty of good food, it was time for the next adventure of the day.
A Safari Like No Other
We hopped into the jeeps for a safari where we saw a variety of wild animals, including rhinos, giraffes, plenty of antelope and some wildebeest too. It was such a lovely way to spend the afternoon, and by the time we returned, the sun had set over the reserve.
Dancing Into the Night
Everyone was ready to show off their moves on the dance floor, and Miranda and Mario’s wedding ended exactly as it deserved to, surrounded by family, friends and their theatre crowd, full of energy right to the very end.
A wedding day worthy of a standing ovation. Huge congratulations to you both, Miranda and Mario.
