Bourton Hall Wedding Venue: A House Shaped by Two Families
The house was built in 1791 for the Shuckburgh family, who remained there until 1906. James Frederick Shaw then acquired the Hall and commissioned the architect Charles Armstrong to remodel it. As a result, striking Italianate features were added throughout, along with a chapel in the early 1900s. So the building couples see today carries two very different chapters of history within the same walls.
Fifteen Acres of Gardens and Parkland
Formal terraces step down from the house towards open parkland and woodland beyond. Stone steps and balustrades give the grounds a real sense of grandeur. Meanwhile, the views out towards Draycote Water make for a beautiful backdrop at any time of year.
